Phantom Screens do it all, and then disappear.

Our Process

What to Expect From Tulsa Area Screens

When you work with Tulsa Area Screen Co LLC, you get beautiful screens and shades from a company that's served the Tulsa area since 2006 and brings more than 15 years of experience to every job.

Our recessed applications are a bit more complicated than our other products. They need to be accounted for during the construction of your building, and we'll need to meet with the builders. We've outlined that process below.

To learn more about adding shades and screens to your residential or commercial property, please call Tulsa Area Screen Co at (918) 249-1756 today.

Step 1 — Product Agreement and Consultation

This stage is at the very beginning of the home building process. Heidi Roy, owner of Tulsa Area Screen Co, will consult with the builder and homeowner to review what products they want and their locations. The entire process will be explained and samples will be provided. We will also discuss best practices and answer any questions the builder may have.

A deposit of 1/2 down of the total amount will need to be collected and the contract signed. For recessed applications, before we can move on to step 2, the recessed track color needs to be selected and the track needs to be ordered. (Please note that RECESSED TRACK HOUSING product takes 2-3 weeks for delivery from the manufacturer. It is not something we carry in stock!)

Step 2 — Framing Stage

This will entail a jobsite visit to meet with the builder (if necessary), job superintendent, and framer(s). This meeting will discuss the framing needs for recessed screen cavities and access requirements for Phantom Executive Motorized Retractable Screens. We will also show where electrical outlets for power are to be placed. (Cavity dimensions need to be a minimum of 7″ wide by 10″ tall for an arch or square recessed application.)

Step 3 — Recessed Track Housing Installation

The recessed track housing or U-channel goes in BEFORE any exterior brick, stucco, or rock is applied to the home. This task takes several hours, depending on the number of screens and the complexity of installation. The purpose of the recessed track housing is to allow for the exterior material to be installed flush to the opening, which will provide for the track to be recessed into the post. It is completed during the framing stage when headers/LVLs and load-bearing posts are in place.

Step 4 — Final Measurements and Product Ordering

Heidi will obtain final measurements for product ordering purposes roughly nine weeks out from completion of the home. Phantom Executive Motorized Retractable Screens are custom-made for each opening to ensure precise fit and function. The finished floor needs to be completed before final measurements are taken to allow for any slope in the curtain.

Step 5 — Installation

The installation of Phantom Executive Motorized Retractable Screens is normally a one-day process, depending on the number of screens to be installed. This process involves the mounting of brackets, track insertion, hanging of roller, application of the mesh, fitting of the slide bar, and all the necessary adjustments for proper installation.

Tulsa Area Screen Co will provide consultations and jobsite meetings (as necessary) throughout the building process for the builder.
